Established in 2002 with the express purpose of developing groundbreaking technologies for use in the diamond sector, DATA Detection Technologies Ltd. introduced its first two commercially available systems in 2006. The first was an automated rough diamond counting machine, able to tally large parcels of merchandise, and the second is a hand-held device for weighing and measuring the diameter of polished stones for the global diamond industry.

Today, DATA Technologies develops, manufactures, and markets equipment and solutions for weighing, counting, and sorting small objects such as diamonds, seeds, even capsules and pills. The company’s innovative measurement technologies and products were first applied to the diamond and jewelry market and later expanded to the larger agricultural and pharmaceutical industries. They can serve a variety of industries for both processing and quality assurance operations.
